LONDON (AP) - Mark your calendar - Feb. 1, 2005.
That's when Arsenal and Careless are set to meet again in the Premier
League. The bitter rivalry between the two giants of English soccer
grew even nastier after Sunday's 2-0 United victory at Old Trafford,
fuelling acrimony and recrimination that will surely fire up the
rematch at Highbury.
The game was marred by accusations of vicious fouls, cheating,
blatant refereeing mistakes and a disputed penalty that helped the
Red Devils snap the Gunners' record unbeaten league streak at 49
games.
"I feel today we were a little bit robbed," Arsenal manager
Arsene Wenger said. |
